Showering Brooks and Jarin

Sunday afternoon was busy, busy, busy! Jarin was surrounded with family, friends, presents and food!

Lucy, Velma and I traveled to Zedlers Mill in Luling for the festivities. The ladies were encouraged to wear their prettiest hats!

Let the excitement begin!

This is dedicated to Aunt Dot and Aunt Evelyn

Our family is growing! In the next 5 months we will have 3 weddings and one new baby.
Katey and Jeremy will marry on May 21, Brooks and Jarin on June 18, Winn and Kristen on September 17 and Dusty and Sarah's bundle of joy will be here in early July. WOW!

Since you will not be able to join us, I am going to keep you informed about all that is going on.

The festivities started out on March 14 with a barbeque given by Lucy's fellow teachers for Katey.  We got together at the park at Lake Travis.  The park overlooks the now full Lake Travis.  It is wonderful to see the full lake instead of the sand and islands.

On April 8 we headed to Dallas for showers for Katey and Sarah.

On the 9th we gathered at Lee's house where she and Amy and Shirley hosted a shower for Katey.  It was exciting to meet Katey's friends.  As one of her friends put it' "I'm excited for you to meet all the girls Katey loves on."  They were joined by Lucy, Jenni and her two - Lucy Grace and Charlie, Velma and Kira.  We had a wonderful brunch and good visiting time.

That evening the guys got to join us.  We all had supper at Chuy's.

Sunday morning we headed to Dusty and Sarah's house for brunch.  They have a beautiful new house and their yard has been nominated for yard of the month.  A crepe myrtle is sitting right in the middle of that beauty!  Imagine that. I can't believe I did not get a picture.

Dusty and Sarah opened a couple of gifts there because Shirley needed to head her group to Austin and I wanted Dusty to be there to open the one from me.

There was a blanket crocheted by mom ..great  great grandma Lucy.  She made it for Dusty when he was a baby and somehow I ended up with it.  They got a cross stitch made by great great grandma Ann. It was found while going through her things.  I decided it would be for her first great great grandchild.  Not to mention the R2D2 outfit that Papaw (Ron) ran all over Disney to find!

And of course, Papaw's R2D2 outfit

One of the things we did for Sarah's shower is to write a message in a book  This is what Katey wrote.

That afternoon we girls headed to Sarah's baby shower.  We were welcomed by her family and family friends.  We ate and ate, watched her open gifts and ate some more!  That little fellow - William James Pittman will never have to wear the same outfit twice!  They are going to call him Will. So very exciting!

On April 17 we will be celebrating with Jarin as she is "showered"!
